John Torous MD is an Innovation Specialist and Mobile Mental Health Researcher at Brigham & Women’s Hospital; a Clinical Fellow at Harvard Medical School; the chair of the Smartphone App Evaluation Task Force at the American Psychiatric Association; and the Editor in Chief of JMIR Mental Health.

Dr. Torous is a widely published expert on the entire spectrum of current apps and technology for mental health, and its future landscape.  He works with others to integrate technology into mental health practices, services, or products, and to advance research, create IRBs for mHealth, and clinical studies.
